Ingredients

Serves : 8
  • 1 cups semolina


  • 1 cups oats flour


  • 1 cups rice flour


  • 1 tsp cumin seeds


  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1 tsp red chilli powder


  • 1 tsp salt


  • 60 gms butter

Directions

  • Mix all the flours in a bowl with salt and red chilli powder, cumin seeds.
  • Now divided into three equal parts.
  • Add 20 GM butter in each portion and blend well with finger tips.
  • In a first portion add turmeric powder, water and knead to a dough.
  • In second portion add spinach puree and knead to a dough.
  • In a third portion add beetroot puree and knead to a dough.
  • Grease a murukku mould with star disc attachment.
  • Now make cylindrical rolls of every portion.
  • Fill one by one every portion in murukku mould.
  • Now make the murukku and keep them on a greased sheet.
  • Heat the oil in a wok and fry them on medium heat turning the side until crisp.
  • Remove them on an absorbent paper.
  • Allow them to cool before putting them in an airtight container.
  • Enjoy them with tea or coffee.
